Subject: SICK ORANDA GOLDFISH

I BOUGHT HOME A BEAUTIFUL ORANDA GOLDFISH (HE'S PROB. ABOUT 8 CM LONG), BUT THE DAY AFTER, AFTER FEEDING, HE STARTED GOING UPSIDE DOWN... BUT THANKFULLY AT THE END OF THE DAY WAS BACK TO HIS OLD SELF. A DAY AGO, THOUGH, HE LOOKS AS THOUGH HE CAN'T COME RIGHT (UPRIGHT) AND IS STAYING IN THE UPSIDE DOWN POSITION. I WAS ADVISED TO TAKE HIM OUT OF THE TANK INTO A SEPARATE SMALLER ONE, WHICH I HAVE DONE, PLACE A LITTLE TONIC SALT IN, WITH A BUBBLY THING TO SUPPLY BUBBLES... AND TO KEEP HIM IN THERE FOR ABOUT FOUR DAYS... REPLACING THE WATER SOME OF IT, DAILY AND REPLACING THE SALT A LITTLE BIT OF IT, SO I HAVE. JUST WONDERING IF THIS IS THE CORRECT REMEDY. I HATE GOING OVER TO SEE HOW HE'S DOING BECAUSE HE CONTINUES TO BE UPSIDE DOWN. MAYBE I AM HOPING FOR A MIRACLE, LIKE RIGHT AWAY. SHOULD I JUST WAIT, AND MAYBE HE'LL COME RIGHT IN A DAY OR TWO. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED, AS I'VE NEVER HAD FISH.
