I have been doing a lot of reading about setting up aquariums and I am by no means ane xpert on the matter, but I do know that there is a rule of thumb that generally applies: You should have no more than one inch of fish per gallon... not including their tail fins. It is always safe to err on the side of caution and have a few extra gallons. With respect to whether or not they should be together, I would recommend you go to your local fish store and ask them about their compatiblity in community tanks.
