A few years (and a few pounds) ago I used to do yoga for about 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week . I really enjoyed it, but I can sympathize with your frustrations with being "calm" through some of the more difficult positions. It did get easier the longer I was doing it, but it never really got easy.

For me, I got the most out of the exercises when I was more focused on the breathing than the positions. It was almost like the positions took care of themselves if I stayed focused on my breathing.

Something to try, anyway.

It's the same reasoning I use for not smoking pot. I'm just wound too tightly. I get irritated.

I think I'll stick with my new eliptical machine until I get to where I want to be, then I'll throw in the variety I think is so important - maybe including yoga.

TG - it was from 2 seperate DVDs. I'm sure it was a little of doing it wrong packed with thinking "Jesus Crimany are we done yet?" I did the Billy Blanks thing back in the day - and you held the positions too - but it was more active.

I'm just kinda disappointed that I can't just chill. And I am not graceful! LOL!
