(He smiled as he thought about Haylie, his Haylie.. she was the light in his life and he was a better man for having her.. He also knew that she would be better in intelligence, but he didn't want her to take the job because he flipped out when she went on field duty. The fact that they had talked about that exact issue while in Bangkok made him understand that she would actually be more comfortable working at headquarters and that would ease his tension so much to know she was safe and sound.. and it would allow her to look out for him when he was in the field. She would be his eyes and ears when he was covert and he would be linked to her at all times. When Shay said taht Haylie loved him, he looked over at her and nodded.) Oh, believe me, I know that she loved me.. she demonstrates that by putting up with half the stunts I have pulled. (He didn't like hearing about the wedding.. it still stuck in his craw that he had let her down like that and destroyed any wishes she had of ever getting married.. and he wanted to have that day back, to see her in that dress, excitedly talking to Shay about her hair and makeup.. planning everything out and being pampered like she deserved. Hell, it was all his fault that that had been stripped from her and in its place a horrible memory remained. He frowned a little as he remembered coming home that day to find her gone.. seeing the photos of her and hearing Shay yell at him.. that had been worse than when he had been tortured by far.) Yeah, I did say that to her. I love her hair down and long. (He said, though it was in a lower tone than before, he wasnt in as good a mood all of a sudden.)
