(He felt her eyes on him and looked over from where he had been watching Chase.. he was thinking to himself that Chase was going to be pretty excited about another baby.. he liked Haylie's already. He caught her smile and reflected it, incapable of doing otherwise.. she was just infectious at times. He then felt the eyes of everyone else in the room and swore that Haylie had hissed in a breath.) Uh.. yeah.. we do.. (He said with a smile, not all that comfortable being center of attention, but letting it slip since his excitemetn about the baby took over.) We actually.. just after the bombing we found out.. but we all know a lot has happened since then and we weren't all that sure things would turn out so good.. but my little Shay here is a fighter.. and she fought hard enough to keep our second child alive while she was in the hospital.. (He said, love shining in his tone as e looked at Shay the entire time he spoke, as though he were telling her the whole thing. He still couldn't believe how amazing she was.. she was his miracle.. and he would never stop making sure that she knew that.) There is a very healthy little two month old fighter in here.. (He said, his hand moving protectively to her stomach as he smiled and pressed a kiss to his wife's lips, smiling against her lips as a chorus of 'awe' and a couple very male grunts filled the room. Chase was clapping again, and it made him laugh as he put his arms more fully around Shay. He looked over towards Haylie and Kyrian.) And don't you get any bright ideas about turning her on to exotic fruit.. (He said with an affectionate smile. He and Haylie might fight like brother and sister, but that was because they were a lot alike.. and he had a love and respect for her as if she were is sister.)
