Great point about "renewal" federal funds being left at the table...that's the first time in a long time I've heard that mentioned (a combination of my age and "their" indoctrination over education). Given your assessment, the County info seems closer to the truth than not as of now. That said, my "updated records" name tag was essentially alluding to the issues you expanded on. As per the Karpeles being renovated into condos, I'll assume the 'Burgh will take the DeBlasio approach of "equitable" luxury housing to combat its homeless and "affordability" issues. The former not being addressed at all in Newburgh given its resources. Letting the Library slowly turn into an encampment is a temporary solution as school will begin soon. Perhaps tptb mindset in installing new & improved bus stops is a two prong approach toward their solution in addressing the transportation and homelessness issues. To be continued...
