Alcohol is allowed on Sanibel beaches at all hours during the summer and fall, but it is unlawful to have alcohol on the beaches one hour after sunset through one hour before sunset between December 15 and May 15.

I'm fair skinned from Ohio, less potent sun than Texas! I use 30 Sunscreen all the time I'm on Sanibel and apply it regularly. I come back home with no burn and a nice tan!

Another thing about being out on the beach at night, watch for holes kids dig in the sand during the day while playing. That can be a real jar to the back!
