This photo was published on 15th July 1959, nine days before the final night. Miss Costa Rica 1959, Ziane Monturiol (left), is escorted onto the plane by Miss Costa Rica 1958, Eugenia María Valverde Guardia (right), as she departs for the United States yesterday on a LACSA plane. Miss Monturiol will represent her country in the Miss Universe 1959 pageant.
