Author: Elaine
Subject: I love that little tin, and the candies themselves, too. I think the desire to write must be like a gnawing hunger that's hard to satisfy. Lehane's quote is really interesting. It sort of lends credibility to one condition that's usually poorly regarded, and another one that's terribly misunderstood. (You choose which one is which!) I should probably read some of his work. I don't seem to be in that kind of mood lately - maybe this winter.
In reply to: celtgirl 's message, "I had that exact brand of violet candies, E. Someone brought them back from a trip for me. I read a great quote by Dennis Lehane on writing this morning, and wanted to share: Writing is a profession for sado-masochists and manic-depressives. It's good to know even the wildly successful authors often feel this way." on 09:43:24 07/15/09 Wed
