Subject: 1. I will say that when Casey left Pamela for those two weeks, I was very surprised. I know he was hurting but it seemed out of character for a man who so wants to protect the people he loves to leave her when there were so many bad guys lurking and watching her as of late. I guess he knew she could go to Jamie, but that in itself seemed hard to understand. Was he testing Pamela one more time to see if she would take the bait and decide she'd rather have Jamie? We know that Jamie held off from tempting her but what if he hadn't? I don't know, I had a hard time reconciling this and Jamie really won out in the battle of my affections here. I didn't like what Casey did. I guess I can understand it but I didn't like it.

  • I have yet to reread these 2 chapters and I do like to read again before answering so I'll come back later for more. But...along the lines of 63.1) I wonder if Casey would feel this way about Jamie if P&J didn't have the history and feelings they have for one another. I mean is this the only reason it galls Casey to be beholden to the man? (NT) -- Marilyn, 09:45:06 10/13/07 Sat
  • That's a really good question. Somehow, though, I don't see Casey being terribly thrilled with having to rely on someone else for the care of his family, not so often anyhow. I'm coming back later too, after I get this messy house cleaned up! (NT) -- Elaine, 12:30:37 10/13/07 Sat
