Subject: Mermaid in a Bowl of Tears ~ Part 5 ~ An Aran Idyll

Chapter 59 ~ Nuala

1. Pamela tells Casey on pg. 517 "I always get a metallic taste in my mouth when it's going to storm. Right now my tongue tastes like iron". Then, on pg. 518 Casey tells Pamela that fear "tastes a wee bit like blood, actually". Does this happen to you in any kind of situation? Do your senses tell you anything? If so, care to explain?

2. What is the significance of Nuala and her life, her story? I must say that her story has stayed with me and I think of her often. I would wait too. You?

3. Two words for ya: whisker burn. Any comments? ;)

Chapter 60 ~ All That You Can't Leave Behind

1. What does a vivid description of the setting of a scene do for you as a reader? Although a short chapter there are paragraphs that contain some wonderful description.

2. Their time together was short. I can't seem to write a coherent question for this topic of the chapter, so I'll look to you all for some thoughts and reactions. Oh, Mahri was the time too short? What would you have done in the cottage had you more time with the boyo?

Thanks for coming along with me this week Shamrocks!

Tracy
