I have histories ranging from the late 1950es up to now that indicate that several societies, or schools, around the world know about these problems and take them very seriously.

Some of these spcieties tend to examine thorroughly the lower digestive system, genitals and urinary system of all kids at specific age levels. Others tend to examine this way all children with behavior problems.

Endoscopic inspections in the urinary system, vagina and lower digestive system or like wise ultrasound inspections is frequently mentioned.

Testing of reactions with bladder filling or with inflatable catheters in the urethra and rectum or colon, with electrodes to regtister reactions, is often reported.

These societies often use sedation or even general anesthesia to shield from the kids much of what is done during the examination, and the general public gets very litttle information about this practice.

In the articles VCUG is mentioned. This testing method is not mentioned in my material. It is possibly not used so much because it is cumbersome and uses x-rays and is theerefore not well suited for obligatory tests.
