Oh For Heaven Sakes!

You participated in a Pageant and one that has been around for 20 years! Virgelia does not need you to spread the word about Miss Asia USA! Everybody already knows about it.

You participating in this pageant and going to all the community events, fundraisers for Charity and participating in a glamourous fashion show at a historical hotel was a way for you to gain experience, network and meet people who might be able to help you in your career. Or just be a part of the community promoting the Asian Woman.

In Regards To The Awards:
Its a shame you think that you need to get money in order for an award to mean something. There are many awards given where there is no cash prize including the Presidential Award from the President of the United States.

The Mayor of Glendale awarded a girl in a pageant an award with his signature that said "Most Promising Future." She had it framed and lists it on her resume for jobs.

Try telling Miss Japan who has cancer and recieved the "Miss Courage Award" at the pageant that it did not mean that much and her crystal plaque was "dumb!"
