Subject: Generic Marking Scheme needed for judging

Whatever happened to traditional Irish dance standards? Tight legs, turn out and cross, rhythm, stage movement, clean whips, not missing beats, respecting others on stage? It seems to be replaced with attack, step tricks, pouting lips, fast moves to impress and show dancing to attract attention. Not being negative, just an old school older parent in fear of the loss of tradition :(

Required Elements!! Like ice skating, gymnastics, ballroom. Fundamentals first and then show me what you can do in addition to that. (NT) -- Then maybe ID could be a sport. Judges left to their own devices., 27/03/24 16:54:48, Wed

  - Ice Skaters, gymnasts and ballroom dancers submit their program prior to the event. (NT) -- Programs are evaluated and point structure established based on REQUIRED ELEMENTS, 28/03/24 4:42:42, Thu
