Author: At the very least dancer should be required to wear the same same costume, the entire competition.
Subject: Two days need to be done away with. It was put in place during Covid so there is absolutely no justification for it to continue.
In reply to: ? 's message, "why does DP dancers wear old dresses on day 1 and new dresses on day 2 ? i don’t understand at all what’s the point 🤣" on 26/03/24 12:16:49, Tue

The notion that two dresses will become the expectation is absolutely obscene. And that is exactly where this is headed. If two day events are going to stay in place, costuming needs to be addressed. The only people championing for two days are profiting off of our children and draining our finances in a most egregious way. We all know ‘the look’ matters and the judges love the ridiculous trends. At least, that’s what our dancers are led to believe. White tape, unicorn hair, short socks, etc. Ridiculous. Two years ago, you had to have sheer sleeves. At one point dancers had tutu skirts and ruffles. I won’t even mention the evolution of the Cape. The trend changed so fast you can’t even sell a one year old dress.

And now we’re moving in a direction of needing two dresses to feel like you have a shot at a major.
