"I'm way out of practice. And I'm about ten pounds too heavy to dance."

Ezra looked at her with his head slightly tilted to the side. "Really? I don't think so. But if it makes you feel any better, you're a lot better at it then I am, heh. Why did you stop, though? If it's not a personal question- I mean it is a personal question, but if it's not, you know, like, private, or something."

"So...you got sent to Ethiopia?"

He glanced sideways at her with a cocked eyebrow, puzzled. "Oh, right!" He suddenly remembered gleefully. "For a second I was just like what...? Uh yeah, you know, for work and shit like that. Travel. Etcetera." he slurred incoherently, waving a hand to the side dismissively. "Ethiopia was sort of this big operation thing where we helped all the Ethiopian Jews emigrate to Israel, well not all of them, as many as possible. But I dunno how many still live in Ethiopia, probably about two thousand or so. I'm a photographer now, though. Not doing so hot here as I'd hoped, I'm more like a starving artist than someone famous enough to actually earn a buck. I try get a bit of journalism in here and there though, to pay the rent." Oh gosh, he always rambled on awfully long when he was drunk. He could feel he wasn't speaking too clearly either, and feared everything he'd just said had sounded more like a garbled mess than anything that could maybe resemble english.

"Dude this city's like empty. Where's everyone? Hello! S'there some sort of mass evacuation movement we don't know about? Maybe in their haste they left all the bottle stores unlocked. I talk too much, say something. Argh shit, wups- nooo!" Ezra had accidentally knocked a flailing hand (an abundance of alcohol always lead to elaborate hand gestures) against the empty bottle of vodka and he made a frantic grab for its neck as it slowly tipped over the edge of the bench. Ah! Got it. He'd lurched forward a bit too suddenly, though, for he lost all sense of balance and went rolling off the bench completely and onto the sidewalk. "Saved it!" An arm shot up triumphantly and plonked the empty bottle down on the bench hard enough to crack it anyway, but thank goodness it was empty. Ezra stayed where he was, on his back on the pavement, blinking for a couple of moments. "What a nice view." he said airily, gazing with glassy eyes up at the towering buildings spinning slowly around him. "Oh, hello up there!" He grinned sheepishly as his eyes finally fell over Natasha, and he gave a little wave. Then the loud, hearty laughter flamed up again and he covered his eyes with one hand as the other clutched his stomach. He was really being a drunk idiot.
