It was the sound of a rolling dime past his foot that caused the teenage boy to peer up. His lips curled at the sight of the frantic princess muttering over her phone. His boot, black and worn from work, stomped down on another passing coin. He scooped with grace to lift both coins into his fingers and gather a few other copper coins from the ground. He stood while he examined his find and stepped towards her. His fingers curled under and he offered his hand to her. The coins clanked together between his fingertips. “Here.” His voice was sensual and smooth, but he wanted it to be. No point in scaring her off.
