1. Despite me saying we need to "comment" on votes in another thread, Coaches always put their arguments on why, in the Vote Thread.

2. Because a person voted against what you wanted, you went about personally talking to one particular coach's reasoning for voting against your proposal. THAT Thread, is where a coach can vote without feedback for that Vote. The Comments thread how ever, go for your life. Which we have been.

Also, your argument was very clear from the beginning, I can't see how it could be misunderstood. But if you wanted to make yourself clearer, I get that, just not in the vote thread.

Your next question/thought: I don't want to open up the Balance sheets for coaches to change things to see fit. I want guidelines clear of the parameters of what allows players in what position on Heatmaps, that our coaches can check, and if they don't check well enough, and do play a player in the wrong spot, according to the heatmaps pointed out by direct opponent coach to mods, penalties apply.

Further to that, what penalty's, because I would argue that one penalty does not fit all.

Like mentioned before, no one is saying lets "Do away with" the balance sheets. I didn't get the angst either, but Defenders for D2 or Rucks have suddenly become my angst. After previous seasons, just hearing other coaches angst.

One thing I can't stand is messy, believe me.

I apologies if my ranting sometimes sounds disrespectful. I put a lot of thought into my posts, and misunderstandings like "You want to just do away with Balance all together" gets me a little frustrated. Perhaps too many words miss the mark more so than not enough it seems.

However, this argument is simple for me. If I am locked away from bringing anything I see as an issue up during the season, and locked out of swapping a player that gets swapped in the AFL until seasons end, or see rules come in without a vote, I don't want to play. So pretty big stakes for me. So frustration is at a high, because it spells the end of 17 years of playing. I will not be starting another league, or joining another. It will just not be anymore. So I want to make sure this is all clear, and when it isn't I do get frustrated.

Regarding the rules, it is disappointing to me, that whilst constructing my posts, I went to the rules page only days ago, and it clearly stated that the Balance Sheet will only be open in the off season, and Mid Season. Then you mentioned what the rule is, and I go back to it, and it is cleared up.

So instead of whoever did that, say, well we can just clear that, if everyone is in agreeance, they do and say nothing. Makes me look like my claims as to what I researched on the rules page, I somehow misunderstood, and reflects poorly on my argument that those things are there, when they aren't at next look. THIS IS WORSE, despite the wording of this rule being better, if that makes sense.

We can't touch rules without due discussion, and understanding. Don't do it!! Who ever that was.

About submitting requests. I know others are annoyed. I am more annoyed that the request can be put to the end of the year. That was never agreed to. But it isn't behaviour of a Democratic game to ask the people in power to please let me play my player where I can research myself where he could play. The parameters need to be better for that to happen, but why load Mods with this task, when we run our sides. We run our balance, and we line our side up according to that balance. A balance sheet locked is not going to stop unbalanced sides by a cheating coach, is it?

Balance Sheet is more or less a point a mod could point to and say see, we agreed on this position. My idea is, point at the heatmap, and say, that player according to the heatmap, can not play there, because of RECENT AFL Records.

No, a request to vote on the Balance Sheet and how it is used, has not been voted on for some time. We need to fight for the right to even question anything in the ON season, as per your right to bring the Vote up. It is taking time away from the 3 or 4 things total, that a handful of coaches have issues with. Fix those things, and this game would be great again.

Regardless of the outcome, this is my final post on Voy.

That is disappointing, because it is the only way your words are archived and able to be looked back on. You asked if the Balance Sheet being Locked, or the 3 HO Ruck Rule, or the Two opening times for Mods to consider Balance Requests were voted on. Scroll back. It is all there to see. I have been, and I can't find these discussions. I did see after it being pointed out, a group of four coaches bringing up an idea, and saying lets bring it up in New Year, and suddenly it is in the Rules Page. I seen that. You can look at archives too, they are not locked.

Simply put, I have no desire to subject myself to the types of comments and arguments that continually happen here. The main reason though is that I have lost trust in the forum due to recent posts going missing or being deleted.

I can shut it down, but I am not playing without this in conjunction with the sheets for the reasons above. So, all good if you don't want to comment on this forum anymore. That is your choice.


Votes are on Voy, and will be answered on Voy where all can see, and those votes can clearly go into archive for anyone to see at any time.

Simple and Fair:
Don't think it is fair though that if Essendon made the move with Laverde two weeks later, I would still be playing him Forward Pocket, even though he is playing Back pocket though. That's not fair.

Calling out another coach:
Is it fair that Mods have to be the bad guys, while other coaches even though they can give the mods a heads up on their weekend game, doesn't even need to be the one seemingly picking the discrepancy up. All I would know is a mod making me aware that a player is out of position as per Heat maps.

Voted on going forward:
But as long as the votes are ONLY at the end of the season, when some coaches are clearly absent, going on coaches inputs in offseason right back to its beginning. It invites rules being bought in with four coaches having a short and sweet convo on it. You can go back to the start of this whole thing, back to the Balta conversation on Voy, and read GTD saying to me, you were given the opportunity to vote, you didn't bad luck. Fair enough if one coach misses the vote, but bad luck that 10 coaches missed the small conversation that was not structured as a Vote, emailed about a vote. Nahhhhh, can't have that, sorry.

I honestly hope that all the current coaches can stick around and enjoy the league.

I do too. But I have until the end of the year, to see if anyone wants to deal with these things logically, and sensibly. So far not very good.

Accept the voting outcome:
This has always been the case. But one doesn't have to accept the way the League will be in the future, when it comes to deciding whether to stay or go. All coaches have that choice. It concerns me when three coaches have voiced feeling of wanting to leave if the way things have become continue. If what I am trying to iron out works, these three players I am sure will stay. But I have a lot of opposition. A lot of players not believing me when I say this is not the way. Coaches are not happy.

I have for a very long time, advocated for these issues. I am their voice, as I clearly see coaches speaking 100 X differently on this board, than what they say in a personal email or message. I am simply trying to piece together their grievances and putting that across the best I can. I hope I am doing their complaints justice. I hope I give it my best shot, before I am no doubt them bow out. I can only try.

We can continue to be one of the best Dynasty Leagues going around.

AGREE. But we don't make rules behind closed doors, we don't lock coaches away from running their sides AFL realistic. We don't have small moments of time where the wrongs are righted.
