The Rams off season was relatively quiet in comparison to previous years. We said goodbye to some club stalwarts in Gibbs, Henderson and Ebert (who ended his career with a SL premiership) who chose to retire. We also traded some older players in Birchall, Sinclair, McKernan, Wood and Phillips.

We chose to bolster our roster some depth and youth this offseason: Bruce and Adams will be called on at times if they are fit (in Adams case) and if a few seniors are out. We brought back Drew and Fiorini from the KINGS in a swap of future picks.

We also enter next year with 2 second rounders and 3 thirds.

Now to Draftees

Cody Brand:
Really had no hope for good pick ups with the late picks we began with. Brand was the KPD we had our fingers crossed for to give us some youth in that department. Will be allowed to develop and some big wraps on the kid.

Zane Trew:
Some criticism from Sumich about his efforts (he played games with a fractured neck) but when you average 25disp a game at TAC cup level and slide to the rookie list, I reckon he will come out guns blazing.

Conor Idun:
Meh pick, but managed senior games this year. Will be depth at best.

Ned Reeves:
No real need, but had some solid hit outs in scratch matches this year. Hawks like to build their developing ruck and he is depth for the Rams.

BEST 22 For 2021
B: Saad - Carlisle - JJ
HB: Jones* - McGov* - Tuohy
C: Menegola - Rockliff - Duncan
HF: Dunkley - Cameron - Shiels
F: Heeney* - Dixon - Lynch
Foll: Lobb - Gaff - Merrett
IC: Heppell*, Viney, Redden*, Lambert
*DNP in the Grand Final

Not many losses from this best 22. Only Sinclair and Ebert.
