Players reaching 28+ seem to go two ways. Cost a bomb if you are going for a championship or have sweet f-all value because they are too old or low scoring because of how they being used. I agree they shouldn't cost an arm and leg, but I think all coaches value their players differently which makes it hard as there is not set value on talls. Some coaches go tall heavy knowing that others will come asking around when they need it.

I would have loved to have offered a younger key defender who would get a game each week, but outside of McGovern, Frawley and Carlisle I have Brand and Melican who are in and out but if Ox would want one of them instead I would swap it (Frawley for Brand or Melican). As for Rucks, I only have Lobb and Sinclair who are best 22 and McKernan who is the same age bracket as Sinclair who was in discussions with another coach). McKernan I was shopping around last year and no one was keen not even for a 3rd round pick at the ND due to his age and output regardless of the fact that the Bombers love him and Daniher is out injured. He is avergaing 89 points now and still no one has emailed regarding him because he is nearly 30. Should I be prepared to accept a 4th or 5th round for Gibbs or McKernan? After all Gibbs and Ebert essentially cost me McGrath..Based off McEvoys trade value at this age (McKernan), he should get me a late first rounder for a coach wanting to win the flag but yet my emails are empty and I still want a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him at the ND

30 isn't a death sentence for fantasy teams. Cats has shown that. I mean look at his side and he has won the flag.. TWICE. I don't think we will ever see that change in having a fair price as it depends on each coach. E.g One coach might never trade a young kid (even if they are a best 22 player for their side) if they are outside a certain age or another might want a gun mid or top 15 pick for solid ruck because they are harder to find and take time to develop.

Do we put a cap on how many key position players each club can have on their roster depending on positions e.g 4KPF or 4 rucks? Is that restricting a coaches rights in who they draft and their tactics?
