Subject: Changing rules, changes the ability to do the same though

At one stage we could get away with attempting to be competitive with a semi balanced lineup, just until your young talls come good.

The balance rules are tightening though, so if you're waiting on too many young up and coming keys and a ruckman, your team could get multiple 0's. In the past, when no one was really caring, you could bend the rules a bit more to get by.

I suppose some can be content with getting smashed week in week out, but most of us are competitive, and we want to see how close we can get to winning in the here and now.

It is not a realistic scenario in your head to know you had 3 0's because of poor balance. There must be some value in getting a McEvoy, Sinclair or any other older ruckman, as a stop gap for one or two seasons until the young bloke comes up, but it can't cost an arm and a leg to do so. Even more so now, considering the group the player is allowed to be in is restricted.
