It was weird that even in a place like this, Spring still managed to creep in. Of course, a forest is a forest but to Kosses it was impressive how anything had survived with all the suffocating hatred. But I guess things were different now. The evil lands, having been called many things, were abandoned once again. The slightest traces of wolves had vanished with the last rain. New life was springing up everywhere.

The trees looked greener now that their leaves were breaking through into the sunlight and little flowers were blooming where the sunlight filtered to the bases of the tree trunks. The rivers were teaming with mossy rocks and the birds were happily rearing families overhead. It was peaceful and safe and quiet.

Her body became still as her neck turned back to look for the male that was following her. She expected to see a look of shock on his face as well. They had been here once before together and hadn't the time to partake in scenery admiring.
