Holy smokes!!! All I can say is were you ever lucky! I am envious. I didn't have a girlfriend in grade 7. (Or in high school. Or in university. I was very shy and a very late starter.) You situation seems ideal. To be almost forced into it by her and her Mother sounds so wonderful. I would have loved that. I wish I had been guided like that.
