Not a sister, but my slightly younger female cousin who had a crush on me. She was overtly terrified of injections whereas I had the undeserved reputation of being brave - undeserved because I feared them so much that I was too scared to make a fuss. It was therefore suggested that it would be good for her to go to the doctor with me at booster shot time and I eagerly agreed, hopefully presuming that she would get a shot in her bottom and I would be able to watch her get it back there. What happened was the opposite. Instead of me being present to give her courage, the idea was for her to see how well I took injections. In the circumstances, I hoped at least to get it in the arm but no luck. As usual, I had to bend over the receptionist's lap to get it in the bare bottom. My cousin spared me at least a bit of humiliation by looking away (or pretending to) when my pants came down and then stood in front of me instead of viewing my naked buttocks but the mere fact that she knew I was getting a shot back there was embarrasing enough and she clearly saw when the needle went in because she winced in empathy when I felt it. Owing to the purpose of her presence, I had to be careful not to show how I really felt about the ordeal as she mockingly commented that she "used to" get shots back there. As she was younger than I, I convinced myself that her past tense was inappropriate but the fact remained that she knew beyond doubt how I got injections and she later made things worse by repeatedly asking if I could sit down, explaining with pleasure to those who overheard exactly how she knew I had a sore bottom.
