The flip is greeted by a flash of pearly fangs in a grin, though the rest of Numi remains a murky shadow. Air bubbles escape the sculpted muzzle as the smallish black snorts, lungs beginning to strain from her five-minute wait below, and the sturdy pawful of waterweeds is released, accompanied by a powerful kick to a large river-rock. The glistening ebony form rockets upwards, straight towards Zrego with forelegs outstretched and pale blue eyes wide open and sparkling with amusement. Swimming with her body rather than paddling with inadequately-broad paws, the Korat slips through the water with what seems inherent grace, sliding just past Zrego so that their flanks touch in passing. A grin once again creases her muzzle and in a motion usually reserved for snatching fish while swimming, Numi's jaws close around the striped's tailblade and with a powerful lunge, she's dragging Zrego tail-first through the water.

Mental laughter filters through a half-formed mindlink to her friend as Numi heads for the rapids downriver, surfacing only briefly to let them both breathe before diving again.
