Subject: I don't see an issue with a "State Hopper" winning Miss DC. Its the State Hopping Miss DC's that do well. All the rest stand in the back and clap at Miss America.

In reply to: 's message, "DC has another new Executive Director, which should make things interesting. From the information session photo, it looks like only two or three girls are returning. Let’s hope we don’t see another state hopper/crown chaser win the title." on 14:07:46 02/24/25 Mon

I think most of these women move to the DC area because it's an exciting place to be in their young adult years. Jobs "were" plentiful and the social scene is amazing. I doubt they move to DC to earn a crown and a ticket to the Miss America Pageant. They know every other DC contestant moves to DC for the career prospects; they are not alone in their ambition and success thusfar. If they truly wanted an easier path to the national pageant, they would move to Vermont, Delaware, Wyoming, Montana, etc... (NT)No name
