- I hope that you will be happy to hear that in, say, 2005, I helped with a local TX MAO pageant and invited Penny to attend, as she lived nearby. When she arrived, I gave her a program and welcomed her into the auditorium. After intermission, I asked the crowd to stand and give her an ovation. Later, I met her personally when we would attend pageant-watching parties for USA. Penny, who hailed from Ohio, was one in a million! - One guy in a Souhern state. He was very prominent on the pageant scene. He took being two faced to an Olympic level. Would slop sugar to your face and cut you to shreds behind your back. Such a shame because he was very talented singer and funny as all get out. Was a fantastic local pageant emcee, on the surface He was a great guy, just the whole two faced thing. He passed away a couple of years ago and is very missed in regard to pageants. However, do not miss being a victim of his tongue. - There was a couple just like this in my southern state. They would even gossip to the State ED. Whom they said nasty things about behind her back. It was very interesting how one of them operated. He'd get on the phone while you where in his salon with one of his friends. He would gossip about their targets; then because YOU/ target B was in the vicinity of his phone call, he would than say that target B was the one saying all the nasty things. I witnessed this on several occasions. One contestant, he would schedule immediately following big events. During the whole phone call talking/gossiping and set her up hard and fast for all the rumors that he started. She had no idea! But technically he could say she was there, right! Lol!  It's kind of funny , in regard to the guy I posted about. For years, I could never figure out why he said such horrible things about me. Someone told me it was just jealousy. We were in similar businesses, but I was more successful. I was also younger and thinner. These people's words, not mine. Anyway, I took a little solace in that. However, after he passed away, I was speaking to someone who knew him well.I had always thought I was the main target of his venom, as I kept my contact with him to a minimum. When I brought up his behavior to this person, they just brused it off and she said "Oh honey, he talked about everybody!" Suddenly I didn't feel so special anymore, lol. | Do any of you remember the Sanders family who ran Miss SC for eons.? When they got pushed out in 2010 son Joey had just been convicted for sexual assdault on a minor. Their response was to lean on the teen contestants to submit encouraging messages to the boy to make his time in the joint a little cheerier.
