- Who would you swap out for Miss? Hanover County is a stunner and she could surprise some people. Apple Blossom could make the 5 honestly. She studies at Shenandoah, the nation’s top Musical Theatre Program. Her interview and talent are amazing, and hopefully Amanda Short is helping her with grooming/walk. Give Apple Blossom a few years to get her feet wet in MAO, and she really could be the next Miss Virginia and perhaps bring Virginia back a placement at MAO. - I agree with this for teen, I think that’s where it could be anyone’s game for that title. For the miss I think apple blossom has a shot I wouldn’t consider Shenandoah a #1 ranked musical theater program compared to one of nyu or university of Michigan. I do think she could be a miss va either this year or next and I wish Hanover changes her talent and perfects walk/interview and she could give someone a run for their money. I have my eye on a couple of those teens but I think I have two or three that are my absolute stand outs this year. I wasn’t at the Lynchburg pageant but from what I heard is that teen can sing like actually sing. - Totally disagree with this. Did you actually go to any of the pageants??? There are only 5 Teens this year that should actually be competing, the rest is just filler from these festival pageants. Virginia Teen Top 5 - Northern Virginia, Arlington, Lynchburg, Magic City, and Commonwealth. And as far as the Miss side of things, unless there is a surprise contestant at Miss Greater Richmond, Miss Top 5 Arlington, Loudoun, Central Virginia, Apple Blossom, Southwest - Dark Horse Tidewater Peninsula, her Talent is amazing - Twirler and she competed when VA had a Preteen pageant and as a Teen. - They finally get a new local in 6 years, and cancel it. They whine and complain about low numbers, but won’t give franchises to anyone. As for CCR, you either love her or despise her. Realistically, she favors/includes certain girls and is mean/excludes those who are prettier, talented, and more intelligent than her. She has been handpicking the winners for a long time. Because of her hand-picking winners such as Amy Townsend, Kimberly Goodwin, Tiffany Lawrence, etc., she has wasted potential Miss America contenders like Rosie Boyce, Tanayia Simpson, Gabrielle Colombo, and Kasey Montgomery. Miss West Virginia is looking like it’ll be a somewhat stronger year than in the past, so I hope they pick the one that will give WV a Top 10 placement.
