Subject: While this might not be a popular opinion, I don’t think there is anything wrong with this. Colorado is not a pageant state….there is no leadership for Miss Colorado Volunteer, and there is no support. For her to get an at large title in Miss Colorado America (which all the titles are at-large since they don’t have prelims), it would have to be cleared to be okay with the Miss America leadership. If they are okay with it, then it doesn’t cross any contractual lines or obligations. There’s no reason to tear down the woman.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Actually, they’re making exceptions for her. The Colorado America registration deadline is weeks before MVA nationals so she’s holding both titles. Don’t talk about things you don’t know about.

[> [> [> Subject: Another way to look at this: A student can apply for multiple scholarships (compete in two pageants) at the same time -- there's no disloyalty, just someone taking advantage of every opportunity open to her. Most local titles in MAO have very few obligations other than competing at State...and the at-large titles have nil. Good for her. Good luck!
