Carol A,
Thanks for responding.
I was born in the early 70’s and mom gave me enemas throughout the 70’s and early 80’s. Mom’s word for your word, “bad gut syndrome” for being fussy or grouchy was “grumpiness.” Also, sometimes instead of using the word enema she would use “soapy.” She would say something like, “a nice good soapy would take care of your grumpiness.” And I immediately knew what that meant that soon and very soon mom was going to wash the “grumpiness” right out of me with a very soapy enema. Which always did the trick because after trying to resist her and the enema, afterwards, I was tried and exhausted and took a nap which is what mom wanted anyway and she knew how to make it happen with a nice good “soapy” as I took a long nap on an empty colon.
