Fern smiles and rotates a bit to get a better view of the Kilven mother and cubs. "I had begun to wonder if a chance such as this would ever come in my lifetime." Careful to keep her thoughts hidden from her face, Fern reflects on the meaning of a Kilven to its rider. This Jasmine seemed to long for the strong mental bond and excitement of knowing that one had a lifemate to love and be loved by. Of course, that was what she could gather by her actions and what she said. "It is indeed exciting." Why did Fern herself wish to cherish a Kilven Linked? Fingering her necklace, her own piece of the night sky, Fern thinks about the answer she had known for a long time. Of course she longed for that love unbroken, the intense bond that nothing could come between or even begin to taint. But there was something more. A memory of lonely studying and empty knowledge flashes through Fern's mind. She needed someone to share her dreams with. Someone who could understand her way of thinking, for she went from step A to step D because she already knew what needed to happen in between. She needed someone who she could share her revelations with and in return who would share theirs with her. Fern smiles to herself, then turns her serene gaze to the one who had introduced herself as Skivi. "Greetings. I am Fern." She sighs happily. "Indeed they are."
