The door swings open and hits the wall with a sharp thud. Wind and rain and shadow fall in from the frame, wreathing the veiling figure in mystery. Taloned footpaws fall with perfect silence on the planks as she strides forth. The cloak that drapes across her hunched shoulders is a lacklustre black, draping across the floor and revealing naught of this deadly creature. A scythe, the same charred hue of midnight though lacking star and moon, is strapped across her back. And deep within the cowl glistens an eye; a cold, grim eye. It, as well, is naught but shadow, though a slender slit of a gray pupil marks its centre, the gate to a dream. Or a nightmare. Death itself lurks in the wings of that chilling gaze, in both blinded, scarred orb and open one. The hood rotates, fixing all with that piercing stare, before the creature leans against a wall in the darkest corner. Watching. Waiting.
