Eques instantly perked up again. "Yup! Fine!" He was talking almost too fast to hear again. "I just do that sometimes. I get way too happy, then I realize how happy I sound, and I'm like 'Wow, stop, you're way too happy! You're gonna scare people!'" It seemed that Eques didn't need to breath.

He looked over at the stands, and happened to see Arden...

"WOW! Hey, he looks just like you! Are you like brothers or something?" He didn't give him time to reply. "Cuz I don't have any brothers. In fact, I don't have any sisters! In FACT, I don't have any family at all! I was raised by a bunch of old lady green riders whose greens never even flew. My mom died when I was," he stopped for a split second, "five turns, seven months, two sevendays, four days, twenty-eight hours, seventy-eight minutes--wait, that's a whole 'nother hour-- I mean eigth seven--wait, that's even longer-- thrity eight! That's what it was! Thirty-eight minutes... and I don't know the seconds! But, anyway, I didn't have a dad. Well, ok, I had a dad, cuz it's kinda physically impossible not to, but I never knew him, because I don't why, and... yeah... that's my family history lesson... of the day..."

FINALLY, the boy took a breath and stopped. "And again..." he said, in the depressed-like voice. "Too happy..."
