Both rider and dragon seem to stiffen at the same time, though the causes of the reciprocal actions differ.

For the young grey-bronze, the motion comes in his mentality. A short, but polite Very well. Is sent to Kylith before the younger dragon turns away, his communication limited to speech and no longer emotion by mentally distancing himself from those around him. He will deal with whatever consequence this veiled wall may bring from those of higher rank, his lifemate needs stability right now, not the aggravations of weary dragons.

R’jari feels almost trapped by the sudden onslaught of Riders around him, this sudden mass of attention that he so often sought to avoid doing little to help him find words for the multiple questions that are offered to either him or the riders around him. He steps backwards as T’gan approaches, appearing to provide space for the rider within the circle, and also effectively getting himself out of the central interest of those around him. With an inaudible sigh, the bronze-rider’s shoulders slump, and the tightening of muscles in the face force the falling smile to remain.

He feels Maeroth is behind him, though through the touch of minds, the dragon has lost his previous exuberance. Strangely, this return to normalcy has its own comforts, and with this constant presence behind him, R’jari gathers his wits and first turns to T’gan, offering a nod of apology for the following interruption of his questions. He begins by facing T’yin.

“J’neli is alive and well, but he doesn’t visit the Weyr that often. He’s been looking for…” R’jari pauses, debating on whether to finish the sentence. “He’s been looking for you. T’bel might know where he was however; Maeroth has mentioned rumors of him and Quilth traveling the island to create an official map of sorts. They might have seen them.”

The pale face framed by red turns back to S’sha, “I don’t think I can tell you of everything that has happened in the years you’ve been gone… just yet. There’s been so much.” He breathes in again, “Wessae running the Weyr on her own until now due to the lack of a stand-in Weyrleader, green Grenith flew and clutched…”

R’jari’s gloved hand reaches up to his forehead, rubbing slightly at a headache that seemed to have risen out of nowhere.

“Maybe we should go to the Lower Caverns? We’ll either find an older rider who can tell you more, or at least… give me a chance to collect my wits.”

The smile curves slightly at the edges of his mouth as R’jari lifts his green gaze back to S’sha, but as he opens his mouth to speak, he can find no words.
