Both pairs of eyes go wide, and Liandro quickly releases the hilt of his knife. "A Weyr?" he mumurs in surprise, echoed a moment later by Marja's exclaimation.

"A Weyr? Here? Really?" She looks around curiously, craning her neck, even though she knows she won't see dragons in the sky through this thick canopy. "We really were lucky. Oh!" she cries suddenly, her gaze returning to Martan. "I'm sorry, I'm being rude. I'm Marja, and my friend here is Liandro. You guessed right; we were shipwrecked." She smiles a bit sheepishly. "I'm glad we met you, Martan, and we'd appreciate a guide to that Weyr." She elbows Liandro discreetly in the side.

The teenager's smile is more tenative but immediately obvious, white teeth prominent next to his dark chocolate skin. "Pleased to meet you, Martan," he murmurs, inclining his head politely. He's a little embarassed to have nearly drawn on the man; he's been on edge since they landed on the island, since being hurt always makes him a bit tense. "I apologize for my rudeness."
