Elaini had been running the same way X'thrall, crying. She just couldn't get over it. W'ntyr'd tried to chase the queen, when he had been father to Elaini's twin children! How could he?

Of course, Elaini didn't fully comprehend that the golds had ordered it, and the new Weyrleader had been chosen, and it was NOT W'ntyr. She didn't know he was in their weyr right then, wondering how to handle her. She just ran.

Soon, she met X'thrall. She remembered him; they'd had weyrling lessons together. But, why was he...?

Gently, she knelt down and put a hand on his shoulder. "X'thrall?" She asked, not quite trusting her voice. What's up?"
