I once saw a mom reclining on a chaise lounge on her lawn. The called to her boy - who had been whining about something - over to her, draped him over her thighs, said “this will give you something to cry about,” and delivered the hardest spank if two possible. Another mom had her boy over her lap for what seemed forever, but delivered what seemed to be the lightest spanks possible to his bottom. What type of spanking did you fear more, one that you thought would never end but was milder, or a harder, shorter session? It needs to sting to make the desired impression. When I was still giving spankings, length would vary by the incident and surrounding circumstances. I never gave the ridiculously long spankings sometimes described in this forum, but a two minute hard hand spanking was not unknown in our household. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

That is not the way my parents spanked. They both did it hard, rapid-fire, and it did not take long. There was no real risk of injury but, at least for me, that made me fear getting in trouble. Like Dana said, the long light spanking is just a joke. And it does not seem to me that a couple of hard spanks is enough to make an impression. My mother spanked the same way she did everything --steady, methodically, never rushing to finish until she was sure she had done a good job. And that woman could spank hard!
