luckily my mom did not tell others publicly about my spankings, at least not in front of me. My grandmy knew though and talked about it most times when she visited us.. 'How did Veronica behave lately? Did you have to spank her again?...' She was very much pro-spanking and the few times she spanked me were worse than those from mom. She kept telling me that my mom was raised more strictly and it did her good.

Your babysitting experiences sound exciting. It must have been soo embarrassing for the children knowing that their mom told you all about their spankings. It's a pity that you never saw or got a chance to discipline them yourself.

I'm really not sure if I would spank my children but your approach sounds very reasonable and def not excessive.
May I ask, since you are also here and had similar experiences... do you still have spanking in your life as an adult, I mean getting it? This is something lingering on my mind since I know some couples do that. Or are you the one giving them these days?

I certainly haven't had a real spanking since that last one from my mom at 15. Just a few playful swats from my husband, usually on my birthday or maybe when I'm acting a little feisty. We're definitely not into any kind of domestic discipline though!

Rob was spanked growing up too, but he was quite surprised to learn that I got it into my high school years. We both think that was too old, but that our two girls haven't outgrown it yet. Spanking is mostly my job, but he sometimes takes his turn and I appreciate that. It reminds me so much of discipline I got from my own dad at their age!

I don't have a boyfriend but it's just something that came to mind. Great that your husband supports you. I'm glad my dad didn't spank me, it would have been even more embarrassing!
