With parents, teachers, and other authority figures, unless there is something wrong with them, they give a real punishment spanking only to discipline real misbehavior, and they do not enjoy it. That is the traditional use of spanking. Both spanker and spankee sincerely want to avoid this painful scenario.

For someone who has no real authority, but defines themselves as a disciplinarian, and seeks out a relationship where they get to spank someone, it follows that they enjoy the scene.

Why do they enjoy it? Not everyone admits that they "get off on it". You might have to know the person really well before understanding why and what they feel.

But the focus of a discipline spanking should still remain discipline. I can't help how my body reacts, but the act and reason for the spanking are within my personal control.
