I understand Moonica, and can totally relate. Even though most Jewish parents are against spanking today, I find the traditional words of the Torah to be more inspiring than Reform interpretations. To sum it up, it is about the law and justice.

I am anti-spanking in the sense that I hope it will not be necessary if I have children. But if so, I will not hesitate just as Mom did not hesitate with my sister and I, when we were straying from the way.

I prefer the idea of being in a relationship where spanking is done only for discipline. It would be unpleasant enough that I wouldn't want to bring it on myself, but the knowledge that I'm subject to it would itself be erotically stimulating as well as emotionally comforting. While I'm waiting for such a relationship, however, I won't turn down play spankings.
