She would throw tantrums, refuse to bare her rear, and scream bloody murder! I remember this one vividly. It was the first time she got the hairbrush. I don't know if Shannon helped with Taylor's paddling for defiance that she was the messenger for but she did share with Taylor how much Taylor was risking. Taylor had the mistaken idea that an ankle cast would also protect her bottom! I suspect it is a family story these days just as perhaps so is Shannon's first encounter with your hairbrush. My Uncle loved to tell about how he spanked me once and I complained, while rubbing my bottom, that "You broke it!" I don't remember the event but the concept of a broken bottom is kind of funny. But this was different because I was not getting it also. In fact I actually joined in the discussion, taking mom's side. But I did overhear or see friends and sometimes little brothers of friends spanked. I found it really hard, especially when I couldn't just drift away when they gave up and really started crying real tears. No matter how deserved, the sound of someone crying and begging for it to end is distressing. Loving moms don't have it easy, especially when they have to answer a plaintive plea with the next spank.
