In reply to: Sam 's message, "Re: To the Moderator:" on 23:59:48 09/25/24 Wed

When the Constitution was first ratified it did not contain a prohibition on censorhip, because the drafters known as the Federalists (including Madison) believed they had created a government which would preserve and protect free speech. However a group of dissenters (known as the antifederalists, including Patrick Henry) felt the federal government was the greatest danger to free speech and must (along with other "natural rights") be spelled out in he new constitution. This was the first ten amendments, known collectively as the Bill of Rights.

However, this did not nullify the desirability of other natural rights in other social contracts. People spoke of a "market place of ideas." Moonie actually opened the door here, when posting about adult spanking perhaps having roots in repentance and cleansing. Taylor posted a non-graphic anecdote from her childhood of this phenomena.

I am not a longtime user, but it now seems to me for a longtime this has been pretty much the province and playground of anti-spanking spankos, among the "regulars" and the moderator has hinted is his/her desire. They want it confined to adult women spanking adult women, pay for spank services, imaginary spanking setups, spanko parties, etc.

Accordingly, in the "market place of ideas" I, having no interest in it (just like I have no interest in the pedophile, fake Christian sites listed by "Reader") suspect I will naturally be opting out, regardless of whether I am formally banned.

You said I knew nothing about the Constitution or the right of free speech. You begrudgingly admit I do, but do not seem to understand the broader principle. Would recognition of the right create a more desirable board, and not turning it into a child pornography board?

In fact one thing I have considered, as a parent spanker, is whether childhood spanking creates adult spankos, and if so is it that undesirable, or of no matter. If it creates that risk (or emotional risks) is it outweighed by potential or claimed benefits.
