Sweetie, my parents were strict but they weren't cruel. I got plenty of spankings but that's exactly what they were, spankings. My parents didn't beat me by any stretch of the imagination. They also love with every fiber of their being. I actually expected them to handle things differently when I came home drunk. I was legally an adult but by law too young to drink. While they were shocked and a little disappointed that I did go out and get drunk, they were relieved that I didn't try to drive home and I regretted the decision. Believe me when I tell you, I would have rather endured one of the severe spankings that people like to talk about on these forums than to EVER have another hangover like I had. I was sick as a dog., and truthfully I'd rather take a beating then to ever have to drink that stuff Daddy gave me. It helped my stomach, but it was GROSS. It smelled awful and tasted worse. Sure they did have a serious discussion with me later, after I'd had time to recover. But they talked to me like an adult instead of treating me like a kid.

My Momma and Daddy have always been there for me and I love them with all my heart.

I guess by the standards of some who post on forums like this, I'm probably boring. I don't tell stories about me getting beatings every day and naked corner times and even worse. Nor do I tell the same kind of wild tales about my kids.
