That's all very interesting, Sonya. As I mentioned before, UNFORTUNATELY you were brutalized by that AP, not just spanked. It's incidents like this that give CP a bad name, when often it's the best, most efficient and effective way of maintaining school discipline.
I've tried to explain to others that NOBODY was ever "held down and beaten into submission" or anything cruel, even though when I got my one and only paddling (3 licks) as a senior along with 3 of my buddies by a very large AP man, I felt it was TOO much! I had NO idea your butt could register THAT level of pain until that first lick hit across the seat of my jeans! But the point I want to make is that most students were never paddled AT ALL, but it was that constant, omnipresent possibility that you COULD be, that provided a formidable deterrent to most misbehaviors.
What you described is what I've always called an "opt-in" policy on school CP...meaning the "default" position is that you were automatically subject to being paddled, unless and until a parent or guardian proactively submitted a form, prohibiting their child being paddled. I believe most school districts in Texas are now this way, but they were not always. It used to be just the opposite, that the school did NOT have permission, unless a parent submitted signed authorization.
A Texas high school girl named Molly on a private forum I used to manage, had a bit of a conundrum one time, not certain if her parents had submitted the form at the beginning of her school year, to prohibit her from getting paddled at school. On her behalf, I wrote a "cute" little poem to add a bit of levity to her concern:
Molly’s Dilemma
Summertime is fleeting,
School time is drawing near;
Just the thought of coming events,
Fills one young lady with fear.
There is this one form
Her parents have yet to submit;
Without it promptly returned,
A good paddling she could get!
As school classes begin,
Molly has some anticipation;
Knowing she could be paddled,
Fills her with trepidation.
On this one fateful day,
Molly disrupts the class.
Her teacher writes a note to the principal,
And fills out a hallway pass.
The walk to the office,
Seems like she’s walking to the moon;
But then before she knows it,
Molly is there all-too-soon.
Molly hands him the note,
Her heart is beating fast;
She cannot bear to look at him,
Her eyes are downward cast.
Finally the principal speaks,
Says “Now what have we here?
It seems you have been a naughty girl,
And yet so early in the year!”
“And since your parents Molly,
Did not return the CP form;
I think the best remedy for this,
Is to make your bottom really warm.”
By now Molly was near tears,
But to her credit she did not protest;
She decided to accept the paddling,
Trusting her parents always know best.
The principal takes out his paddle,
Molly obediently grabs her knees;
Three hard, stinging swats later,
Her butt feels attacked by bees!
While giving a post-spank lecture,
And Molly is rubbing her behind;
The principal’s secretary pops in exclaiming,
“Now THIS is an amazing find!”
“The CP form from Molly’s parents,
It must have gotten covered;
But I’m sure Molly will be relieved to know,
It has now been discovered!”
