I played volleyball and the coach could not paddled she ran us from one side of the gym to the other she did not care it you passed out I passed out one day my parents took me to the emergency room I had been ran to exhaustion they had to give me Iv to rehydrate me . My parents told the pastor who ran the Christian school the coach got fired and punishment has to be not playing in the game I would have preferred her to send me to the office for swats

Instead we would have to get on all fours and bear crawl or make us run stands (bleachers). When they wanted to punish us as a team, it was usually running bleachers. Our punishment went over the line of abuse several other girls got sick the emergency room doctor that saw me and several other girls report that we ran way to long especially after a hard practice even though she was not prosecuted I was 13 last year on the middle school team . The new coach worked us hard she benched us to punish sitting out a game or part of a game got our attention . The high school coach still ran but not in excess the next year the school banned running on advice of thier attorney . I have three daughters the youngest 11 a 13 and 15 they all play sports the younger one volleyball the older two softball . For boys and girls sports teach teamwork and sportsmanship and leadership .
