Never in "public". That would have been considered unacceptable in polite society. Unfortunately, that did not mean spankings were always private. Sometimes a spanking was witnessed at home by someone outside the family, and the embarrassment felt never goes away completely. Did they like seeing it? Were they disgusted to see it? Did they think the spanking was justified? Did they feel pity? You want to know what that person thought about what they saw, but then knowing can make it even worse.

Seeing that I am almost 20 and my brother just turned 17 it is embarrassing for both of us. Especially if we are both spanked together. Mom says there is no modesty in her house.
