Bare bottom was the only way my parents spanked. There was no negotiation. If I ever begged to keep panties on it was for protection not modesty. When I got older I started to be more embarrassed about baring my bottom but as soon as the spanking started I no longer cared. I just wanted the fire to go away. Then I’d be embarrassed again after but at that point it didn’t matter. My dad and grandad were always considerate and would avert their eyes and were careful about what they had to see, but the pants and panties still came down. Having said that, if they do something wrong they need to be punished. I would give them a choice, a spanking or something else. If the something else was very unpleasant there is a good chance they would take the spanking. In my case, when I did something wrong as a teenager, I was given a choice. Sometimes 3 choices. I did not like being grounded and I did not like the paddle being used on me so the result could be a bare bottom spanking. Personally, I would rather be embarrassed then in terrible pain.
