Subject: Spanking throught the ages Author: Marcey [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 06:48:49 02/24/25 Mon There have been some posts that hinted at this subject so I thought I would put some notes down and see if others had the same experience. From as long as I can remember spankings have been given in my household. When we were under 5 my mother would call the family into the family room, explain who did what, and then undressed the violator, put them already crying and begging over her knee and she would administer about 10 hard slaps to their backside causing frantic wailing and reactions before she pulled them off her lap and made them stand against the wall with their hands on their head for about 30 minutes. I cannot remember these being particularly painful but the fact that I was being punished resulted in a flood of tears and crying that was the result. For those watching who were the same age it was a frightening experience watching my brothers or sister spanked that clearly sent the message that you did not want to repeat the offense. I think at this age I was probably spanked about once every two weeks which did not include an occasional series of hand swats on a clothed bottom when needed. Things changed at the age of 6 when the hairbrush was introduced in support of a hand spanking. My oldest brother was the first recipient of the brush and I remember how cocky he was when he was told that he was going to get the brush. That quickly ended when he felt the brush for the first time as his reaction when up a few notches and the color of his bottom while he stood against the wall was a much brighter shade of red. Watching a brush spanking at this age was still a frightful experience. The contortions and struggling of the offender and the howls and screams that accompanied the application of the brush were warnings to behave. And seeing the red butt of the offender while they cried against the wall made a lasting impression. At this age I think I still probably got a spanking every couple of weeks too. At the age of 10 a new implement was added for severe offenses. The bath brush was a quantum leap upward and would leave the recipient begging for mercy and the punishment would not stop until they were limp and worn out over my mother’s lap. There were times that bruises were noted on the backside of the offender, particularly on the sit spots which now became a major zone for spanks of all kinds. When the bath brush was introduced this and a combination of age I think really made the connection in your mind that it really hurt to be spanked and your memory perhaps kicked in as before you did something dumb you really thought about what would happen if you were caught. Up until the age of perhaps 11 or 12 being spanked naked was really no big deal. That was the way it was done whether my mother or an aunt or somebody else would spank you and we just accepted it as part of the program. But with puberty we all became modest about our bodies, particularly me and my sister. I was never really so concerned about showing my butt and things below, but was very conscious about my developing breasts. Now while spankings hurt like heck, being spanked naked in front of the family became a greater and greater deterrent. I never liked seeing my sister spanked at this age. I felt sorry for her as I knew exactly what she was going through. But I do admit that there was a certain amount of pleasure watching my brothers get spanked as it became an anatomy lesson as they would go from hard to soft to hard again standing against the wall. And after we had all grown up both brothers admitted that they enjoyed watching our breasts wiggle and jiggle while we were being spanked and particularly the bouncing while we did the inevitable spanking dance. Also, as a side note, you got to observe the level of grooming each so us did. One by one we went off to college and as we all grew older the number of spankings diminished. But they did not disappear. I remember when my brother came home from college we were all lined up to see his punishment. He was a big guy (in many ways) and was a football player. He seemed to be nonchalant as my mother stripped off his clothes and put him over her lap. She did not bother with a hand spanking but went straight to the bath brush with hard rapid swats to the same spot perhaps 6 – 8 times before she picked out another target. My brother maybe lasted 8 swats before he started to kick and cry and beg and my brothers as they got older would all eventually revert to little boys begging “Mommy” to stop. Watching this was back to being a scary experience. He clearly was one heck of a punishment that none of us ever wanted to experience. After my mother got done with him it was my fathers turn. He was put over the end of the couch and my mother would hold onto his arms to keep him from reaching back and protecting himself while my father would smack his butt with an old work belt with holes in it. By the time my father was done with him he was just babbling and as he stood against the wall his legs trembled as he cried and sobbed like a little boy again. I have no ill filings for my parents spanking me. I deserved every spanking I got and got away with more stuff that I was never punished for. You parents loved everyone and it seems wanted to be fair and to treat boys and girls equally. That your brother could hold out for 8 bath brush licks before being reduced to howling and requesting that it be over is very impressive. He was strong. But the dreaded bath brush always wins out. But adding the work belt with holes on top of his bath brush swats was a lot. He must have done something big at college to earn such an intense spanking. Watching it must have created life-long memories. Have you ever asked others how it affected them? No one ever gets too old for a hard bare bottom spanking to reduce them to a sobbing little girl or boy. As one mom used to say, trying not to cry is "a fool's errand." It was always hard to see the other one spanked (and even harder if I was next) but we both realized that we got what was coming to us and because of that there were no complaints. We have talked and both admit that knowing that you looked as bad as the other while being spanked was a real incentive to try to behave. The kicking, the pleading the face full of tears and snot and more importantly the way our breasts jiggled during the spanking and bounced during the spanking dance were heartfelt periods in sympathy for the other. Seeing my brothers spanked was different for me and my sister as it was for my brothers watching us. There was a period when those early anatomy lessons were all we had. But as we grew older and explored they became less of an issue. Spankings from my father were rare. 89.5% were given by my mother. 10% were given by my Grandmother who made my mother look like a spanking amateur and I think were worse than my fathers belt. No matter how old we were, or how tough we wanted to be, the difference in our family is that the spankings were very effective. I don't remember ever getting more than one spanking in a whole year.
