Also there is a method that my Aunt used that she called "nose and toes." You had to stand with your toes touching the bottom of the wall and she put a nickel that you had to hold against the wall with your nose. That was terrible with the snot and tears running down your face and after about 15 minutes your shoulders hurt like heck. The only exception was during the school year if we had a lot of homework to do we would be allowed to sit on the hardwood chairs at the kitchen table to do our homework instead of standing in the corner. It was also somewhat common for us to have to wait in the corner for anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes before getting a spanking. We were naked for our spankings and corner time was the same.
