 Yumi, even if it sounds strange - the worst thing for me was when my grandmother could watch. And since she lived in our house after my grandfather died, she unfortunately had the opportunity more often. My grandmother was a person from a bygone era who demanded that our parents punish us with beatings every time we misbehaved or were naughty. Often enough with success. Allowing her the triumph of hearing me howl and beg naked under the cane was simply disgusting. With my siblings, on the other hand, I hardly minded, as the account was always balanced again quite soon.
